The Fiorino is the first in its segment to offer a Deadlock locking system as an option. This deactivates all the door linkages, making it impossible to open them, even from the inside. Another option is a remote control central locking system, which allows only the load compartment to be opened (by means of remote control or a button on the dashboard) for greater safety during loading and unloading operations.

Electronic traction control system (ELD: Electronic Locking Differential), guaranteeing better handling and safety even over uneven ground. During low-speed acceleration, the system applies a braking action on the wheel with least grip, moving the power to the wheel with most grip in order to prevent vehicle slipping and allow escape, even from critical surface conditions, such as mud or snow. This feature is sold together with the Adventure Pack to make the Fiorino a truly practical vehicle.

The braking system is designed to optimise efficiency, strength, durability and reliability: front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) and electronic brakeforce distribution between front and rear wheels to prevent the wheels locking.
