Cx - Aerodynamic and silent

The Ducato's lines have been designed using virtual technology and have undergone rigorous testing in the wind tunnel to create optimum aerodynamics, bringing together style, noiseless running, outstanding performance and reduced fuel consumption. The end result is a Cx (drag coefficient) equal to 0.315: a value which places the Ducato at the top of its category and which, working in conjunction with other technological elements, takes the vehicle's articulation index to 55 (in fifth gear at 120 km/h), the equivalent of a medium class vehicle.

Front bumper

Sturdy and solid, with flowing lines in three parts (that can be easily replaced in the event of damage, ensuring lower repair costs compared to a single piece bumper). The central section features an aluminium coloured cowling with a black grille and Fiat logo. Foothold recesses at the side are useful for cleaning the windscreen while rectangular niches house the fog lights.

Headlights

The big headlights in polycarbonate with a clear lens feature a rounded profile, visually sweeping up the lines of the front end toward the vehicle roof. The three interior reflectors, produced with state-of-the-art treatments, perform high and low beam and direction indicator functions. Their high position allows greater visibility and preserves them from damage in the event of accidental impacts.

Reflective Windscreen

Contains a fine layer of metal oxides that intercept and reflect the infrared rays that are responsible for overheating the passenger compartment, so that the inside of the vehicle remains cooler, requiring less use of air conditioning and thus reducing fuel consumption.
The reflecting windscreen reduces the annoying burning effect of the sun's rays on occupants, on the dashboard and on the steering wheel and is particularly effective when the vehicle is parked in the sun: the temperature inside the passenger compartment is up to 15° lower than in a vehicle with a normal windscreen.
